Tax Prep Made Easy: Access Revenue Reports, Balances, and Invoices in Acuity
Tax season is upon us, and as an Acuity Scheduling user, you have access to tools that can streamline your business’s tax preparation process. From revenue reports to account invoices, here’s how to find the important financial details you need to file your taxes with ease.
Accessing revenue reports
To begin, head to the Reports section in your Acuity account and select Revenue. This report provides a comprehensive overview of your earnings, including appointments, packages, gift certificates, and subscriptions.
By default, appointment revenue is attributed to the date of the appointment. If you prefer to view revenue based on the booking date, you can customize the report:
Click the Date range drop-down menu and choose Custom date range.
Enter your desired date range.
Check the box labeled Show appointments that were scheduled during these dates.
Click Show to generate the report.
Numbers not quite adding up? Acuity's revenue reports don’t reflect refunds—those are processed through your payment processor. Similarly, transactions processed outside of Acuity or appointments without a recorded transaction won't appear in these reports.
Checking package and gift certificate balances
If your business offers packages or gift certificates, you can monitor their remaining value in a few quick steps. To do this:
Go to the Packages, Gift Certificates & Subscriptions panel in your Acuity account.
Click Edit next to the one you want to review.
Here, you can view details about all active package or gift certificate codes, including remaining balances and expiration dates.
Viewing subscription invoices for your Acuity Scheduling plan
Need to take a look at your billing history? Easily access your Acuity account invoices for expense tracking and record-keeping. Depending on how you log in, the steps vary slightly:
Using an Acuity account: Simply click on My account, scroll down to the Current plan section, and click View receipts to see your invoices.
Logging in with a Squarespace account: Select Settings to find and open the Billing panel, then select Invoices. Check out the Reviewing your Squarespace account invoices guide for detailed instructions.
Remember, card processing fees are managed by your payment processor and won’t appear in your Acuity records.
Getting your tax documents
While Acuity provides detailed reports on your business activities, you’ll need to consult your payment processor for tax forms related to your transactions. For information on getting these tax documents, like U.S. form 1099, check out your payment processor’s support resources:
